Israel
These photos are from my trip to Israel and Palestine, Jun 22-Jul 1, '99.
I went with my family for my cousin's wedding. We did quite the tour,
however, in a rather shoddy, dilapidated rent-a-car. In addition to my
father's village (Ramah), we hit Jerusalem, Ramallah, Jericho, Hebron,
the Dead Sea, the Golan Heights, and more.
Quite an amazing trip...there is probably more history and culture
per square foot (sorry, I'm an engineer) in these areas than any other place
on earth. Enjoy the ride!
Welcome to Tel Aviv!

On the way to Jerusalem. Here are a mosque and church vying for skyline.

The noble profession of scribe is still alive and well in some parts of the world

When they say old...they mean it

Quite impressive, don't you think?

Walking down the narrow streets

The hustle and bustle is quite amazing

Unfortunately, I couldn't quite capture the sounds and smells that round out the experience
