Hawaii - Big Island

These are photos from my trip (Feb. 14-20, '02) to Hawaii. Julia and I ran around the big island, diving, hiking, and generally wearing ourselves out. Check it out...

Welcome to the Big Island. You might not believe this, but this picture was taken inside the airport.	Julia relaxing after the long flight.	Part of the view from our hotel room balcony.	Happy Valentine's Day Dinner!
Sunset over the ocean.	The Kona coast by night.	A sea turtle, lounging in the lagoon by our hotel.	A gecko, not happy about my intrusion into his bamboo forest.
He doesn't think we can see him, but we can...	A big spider, hanging out near the hotel pool.	I'm not sure what type he is, but he sure looks cool.	Fireworks and dragons at the Chinese New Year's block party.
One of the dancers.	Another dragon shot.	Apparently there are child-friendly dragons as well.	On the road...see the Hawaiian "graffiti"? It's made fom placing bits of whitish coral on the otherwise dark lava.
