The Fish

A gallery of pictures taken of the fish in my aquarium, primarily taken with a D30 / 100mm macro lens / 380EX Speedlite combo.

The Green Terror, curious what I'm doing. The Venustus is off to the right.	A closeup of the Green Terror's face. Check out his beautiful coloration.	The male Melanochromis Chipokae, with a good shot of the tank in the background.	His mate (now deceased). Do they even look like the same species?
One of their babies, notice how bright yellow they are when young. The color changes with maturity.	The male Chipokae hiding in "his" home. Cichlids are very territorial fish.	One more shot of him...I just love the coloration.	The convict cichlid, as she's passing over a plastic shipwreck.
A picture of the Nimbochromis Venustus, the king of my tank. King by virtue of being the biggest and toughest.	Another picture of the Venustus.	My Giant Danio. He's not a cichlid, but he sure is a survivor. He's the only occupant left from when I originally cycled the tank.	The Synodontis catfish. I think he is a Synodontis Ocellifer, but it's hard to be sure.
The Synodontis in his favorite hiding spot, behind the powerhead.	The Plecostomus. He keeps things clean(ish), by scouring the tank for algae, and sometimes squash.	Puck, head cat of the household, keeps a vigilant watch, making sure the fish don't escape.
