Whew, daylight!
Now we're back on the road, heading towards the most southern point in the U.S.
And here we are, more or less. The marker told me so.
Mmmm....more surf...not enough time before dark, so no more pictures til we hike 2.5 miles to the green sand beach.
Wohoo! We made it!
Another couple is here, demonstrating how steep a climb it is.
Julia will now attempt the tricky descent, so we can finally see the wacky green sand.
Success. The (rare) green sand on this beach is caused by olivine deposits, left by volcanic activity.
