HI, just came across your site while searching for someone in Rama, recognised the surname and thought I better check it out.

I was one of Colettes teaching volunteers in Rama, in '99 and the pics really brought back great memories, good to see some familiar faces.
love to Colette and Camel if they ever check this out.

Oddly, Anna (the cat lady) really liked the cat stuff...

So, is the "Beginner's Guide to Scotch" section still under construction????

Where are the Russian River Canoe trip pictures from the "Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong" trip...

Please, please, please post the Renaissance Fair Pictures. (please)

I just wanted to tell ya i think your pictures are great, and videos, al though i am concerned with the fact that i noticed you mixed 2 different lakes together. auratus ( common name ) are from lake malawi and are mouth brooders and like the ph around 8.0 to 8.4, the convicts are from south america and like there water to be more soft, in my opinion i do not think its a good idea to mix those fish together. hope all works out for ya

I still enjoy your site. I'm starting to think about
one for me and the better half, but I'm not ready to
convert one of our computers to Linux and plop it down
in front of the firewall. So for now, it will have to
be a generic ISP site, limited to its boring hypertext
links and "get to know something about me!" flashing
text...and live vicariously through Nakhleh.net.

I hope you have DSL or cable on the east coast...

Subject: Fish
Hey good site. About your fish set-up though... I would highly suggest turning your tank into a strictly African tank. Toss the 2 South American's out and just keep getting more and more African's. You can fit a lot more African Cichilids in a tank due to them wanting to school so much as seen by your pair of african's now. In a 55gal. you can prolly get like 30 or more fish in there with ease. I have a 29 gal South and a 10 gal Afican. In the south I have a 9in. red devil(male), 2 6in. jack dem's(males), 1 4in. (female) black convict, and a 4in. red jewel(male)(and I know it African but my afican beat it up and in this tank nothing messes with it). In the African I have a yellow one about 4in. like the one in your tank, everything else has been eaten or died. You seem to be good on PH levels and everything, I really don't worry about that too much. But I highly suggest spliting the tank up either make it a African or South. I would make it a African. Good site though. Any questions or comments hit me back. LATER, DEFWU2

To: the Nakhleh family in America,

(I assume this is going to somewhere in America).

Just in case you wondered why someone in York, Britain, was clicking on just about every photo on your site,
I was just emailing my old friend Colette re. the declining situation in Israel/Palestine, and decided to
do a 'google' search on her name to see what it came up with. I stayed with the Nakhleh family in 1998/9, and
taught English at the Roman Catholic school. It was lovely to see pictures of the school, the village, and
of course some of the people again: Kamel Nakhleh, clever little Manarr, etc. Why was Colette in none of the photographs,
or Morad or Manal? Are they really that camera shy?

Anyway, 'mabruk' for the wedding, and thank you so much for showing me some tantalising
glimpses of a beautiful country and beautiful people, that I very much hope to visit again when the
political situation becomes more stable.

In love and solidarity with both the Palestinian and Israeli Arabs,

Hey this is a great site. I like your convict cichlid i have a ten gallon tank with bigger sized Cichlids and they had babies
They are a month and a half old right now and the parents haven't eaten any of them, but some of them look like they are pink convicts but both the parents are Black Convicts?
Do you know why this is?

Hey Nadim and Julia,
This is a great page and I love the T.V.(I guess I know what I be looking for this christmas). Well it appears that life is good for you guys, have fun with the new system. Look forward to seeing the fish cam again, reminds me of the old days in the annex. I miss Timmy too.

Speaking of the fish cam all I can say about it is

How did you train the fish to do that? Since I can recognize some of the tank
toys I know this is for real. I may just have to leave it going all day just
so I feel like I am still in your cube.

We have a couple of african frogs at my house these days. They're pretty cool.

Expect to get a few more hits from VF in the near future.

Julia and Nadim, although you two are a whole country away at least
I still get to see how things are in your neck of the woods. Is that really
your fishtank? I don't believe it. You guys have come a long way from the fishtank that graced the annex. Your current fish actually seem to be
living. :)

Nadim your photographs of Isreal are beautiful. Is there a continent yet
that you two haven't been to?

Multiple comments:

1. I loved the site. Creative, interesting, varied, fun. I was kind of surprised there wasn't anything in here on your favorite mixed drinks. Also surprised that worth normalization didn't make the cut - yeah right.
2. How much are you getting paid to advertise for the camera manufacturers?
3. No pictures of your new place in CA? No web cams of the surf on the beach? Is Yatczyn keeping you in the hot tub too much?
4. The photos of yourself must have been "BS" (meaning "Before Sunnyvale," of course), since there isn't a bunch of suntan lotion on your noses from all the time at the beach.
5. Julia needs to get out more - her sentences haven't been transposed into Valley Girl Speak yet. Yeah, really! For sure! I mean, she is just so 20 minutes ago! (Actually, maybe she ought to keep working a lot.)
6. How many resumes' have you gotten from the "dot.com Yahoo guys so far?
7. If you are starting to suffer from low blood pressure, you can always come back to DC. Love to have you.
8. Happy Holidays. It was a great year.

Terry just gave me the link to your site. While I haven't explored the gammit just yet, I did notice the snake photos. I'm honored to make the cut! I sent a copy of it to my mom so she could see what kind of craziness I'm associated with. Definitely, something a mother needs to see.

I don't like the yellow background on the icons. It does look really good
